Good home wanted for Mk 1 Metro called 'O-me'..currently in Great Yarmouth.
Sad sale due to nowhere to keep it.
Has been kept in my parents driveway for past three years
due to lack of parking at my new home.
Unfortunately they now need the space and i still don't have anywhere to keep it.
Was always very reliable and used daily.
Had full MOT when parked up but none at present.
O-me comes with lots of spares as i originally bought a donor car for when spares became scarce.
Spares include:-

4 wheel cap centres
bonnet
hatch
windscreen

2 rear lights

O-me has done 70,271 miles since registration on 12/01/82 and has had 3 former owners.
It is in very good condition for age but does have a few small bubbly rust patches.
These are on the n/s wing top + bottom. n/s rear sill / bottom wheel arch.
Bottom of o/s door and under rear wiper mount. Wheel arches are all good.
There is also a small rip on the seam of the drivers seat. Otherwise all is good.
O-me is way too good to be broken and will not take much to get motoring again.
Can anyone save this much loved little car as O-me would love to be on the road once again!

I wish to sell an L registration Rover Metro 1.4LI automatic.
It requires some work in order to pass an MOT,
mainly some welding to the sill on the driver's side,
the replacement of a front ball joint and
the replacement of the exhaust manifold.
The work is beyond my capacity,
however I am sure that it would be well within that of an enthusiast,
and I would be much happier to see the car restored
and well-loved rather than scrapped.

This sale is for a rare Austin Metro pick-up.
He is a 1989 modified Metro with a sweet
1275cc A series engine and smooth manual gearbox.
He has m.o.t until October 10th and is taxed until the end of September.
Just had brand new radiator fitted this week.
He is very solid and the local mechanic says he is in great condition on the chassis.
He has only done 62k.
My brother insured him through Adrian Flux, as a modified vehicle (pick-up)
and was the same price to insure as a standard metro.
It has had a recent service and also had the suspension re-pumped up.
He includes a sporty exhaust and Evolution Alloy wheels.
OK: GOOD POINTS:
Runs and drives very well.
New radiator, recent service and re-pumped suspension.
Solid chassis for age.
Sporty exhaust and alloys.
Very rare unique eye catching fun vehicle.
mot'ed and taxed, drive away.
only 62k and 1275cc engine.
Not so good points:
Faulty fuel gauge, requires new sender unit.
Cracked windscreen, will require replacing before M.O.T.
Drivers door handle is broke but working.

Hello All,
I am selling a 1997 Metro Knightsbridge SE with sunroof and radio cassette player.
This was my grandfathers car, but unfortunately he can no longer drive it.
Though the car is generally in very good condition (low mileage, MOT runs until Jan 2011)
there are a couple of issues (see below) and as I’m no mechanic and have little free time
to tinker I’m looking for a good home for this vehicle.
First The Good News
Only 28752 on the clock
Valid MOT AND TAX until Jan 2011
Generally in very good all-round condition (body work and engine) and drives very nicely.
Now The not so good news (or more good news if you like a project to tinker with)
Main Issue: Recently the right rear displacement unit went and the suspension dropped on the drivers side.
I got the displacement unit replaced with a unit from a scrap yard, but there is still something wrong
as the suspension seems to still have a slow leak (though I have not been able to see any loss of fluid).
I’ve had the suspension pumped up again but the problem (whatever it may be) is not fixed
and the suspension has slowly dropped at the front drivers side.
I’m no mechanic and am not sure where the problem is.
If you buy the car you should come with a trailer as until the suspension is fixed it would not be safe to drive.
Minor Issues: The central locking is a bit temperamental on the drives side door.
We just use the key to open the door, but it is hopefully a quick fix.
She needs a new end to the aerial, and the plastic surround for the inside drivers door handle is broken
With a little work this car can once again be a real friend to someone (we call her Alice).
