Daz and i met up in Morrisons at 7.30 am and had a McD breakfast.
We went up to the promenade at 8.00am and left Custard there to
mark out our spaces.
The Banner was cable tied to a fence and the new and very impressive Flag
was erected and secured under a back wheel.
Back down to Morrisons to await the remaining members attending.
Mie came next followed by dunny69 who now owns the Timeline 1985 car
previously with physical ed.
metrovanman88 turned up in his tidy red van followed at 9.27 am by
paulplom and Simon with half of the North East crammed into their cars.
They had stayed in Blackpool the night before and had had a good time.
We set off at 9.30am, still missing Jim aka shunter, who was delayed on the M55
but we eventually spaced ourselves out on the South Promenade with 7 cars filling
a space for 12 !!.
Other car clubs there were the VXRs and the PT Cruisers as well as Bugattis and
Mercedes who even had their own cafe tent !!
There were loads of buses and Jim was in heaven.
A long day but a lot of interest in our cars and Mike signed up another 3 members.
About 2pm a convoy of 204 minis arrived at the far end and a walk down there
showed most models were there including a shorty and an undertakers mini steel
traveller with the reg GON 2L.
All in all a good venue, lots to see and do and only £3 to park all day in Blackpool.
