June 2011 features the Nightfire Red Rover Metro L 1.1 owned by OrangeManDan .
Here, in Dan's own words, is the story of his progress to date.

After passing my test in April 2010 at the age of 17 I wanted my own car so I could be more independent and wouldn’t need to be driving the parent’s car. With a £1000 from my parents as an early 18th b-day present and not much in my bank I set about looking for a car and doing what a lot of youngster’s don’t seem to remember, I was checking insurance. Well it turned out that I was only able to pay in a lump sum due to my age. This became a problem as the original idea was to spend as little of the £1000 on insurance because I was planning on paying monthly. I figured out that the only way that I am going to be able to afford my own car is to buy a cheap car. I then set about looking for a really cheap car and came across a Nightfire Red Rover Metro L 1.1l for £500 on auto trader. I checked the insurance and it was £1100 so I checked with my parents if they could lend me the money and I will pay them back the £500 and they agreed to it. The next day I went down to view it with my dad and instantly fell in love with it, I don’t know whether it was because I knew this could be my very own car or because there was something about it but fell in love with it I did. I decided to take it for a test drive and then I realised how much different it was to a modern car (Fiat Stilo) but I loved that about it. Got back to the guys house and dad said it was up to me if I wanted it so without thinking about it anymore I said I want it and put a deposit down and picked it up the next day. Got home and decided first thing to do was clean it and so I did. Here is how it looked after a quick clean.
