This month we feature one of Iain Frith's, aka yorkshirerider, collection of Metros.
This is his red GS - nickname Micky - and it's story in Iain's own words:
I bought My GS from a friend who rescued the car from the Crusher
as a stolen recovered Car back in September 2007.
My friend ran the car till it developed a fault in January 2009 and wouldn't start.
The car was parked up and vandalised.
I just had to save it!.
It's had hundreds spent on the fuel system,
full service, and parts replaced that were damaged
or stolen when it was vandalised.
The car has had new plates which bear the metroownersclub website along the bottom.
The only thing to do eventually is to replace the front doors, which still show signs of theft damage.
I have no history with the car, only that it was registered in Birmingham in 1988.
The car has covered just 31k and is in mint condition.
This is it as seen at Longbridge last year.
As of Friday December 11th the car is going for all the brakes overhauling
and a New MOT ready to join my clubman,
which i also plan to take to most if not all club meets, to celebrate the 30th Birthday.
Back to Car of the Month.
