Knightsbridge's lovely 1989 Auto features as Car of the Month for February 2010.

G102 ONB was purchased from Lex Mead in Stockport
in November 1989 by a Mrs Elizabeth McHale.
It is a 1.3L Clubman with the optional 4 Speed AP Automatic Gearbox
finished in Flame Red.

Being a 1.3L Clubman meant she features Body Colour Lower Bumpers
and Grille along with wide Side Moulding's, Zenith Seat Facings
and co-ordinated Cut Pile Carpet and a Sunshine Roof.
It also has the benefit, as one of the last A Series Powered Metro's, of being unleaded.

Until 2009 G102 ONB had covered a mere 18,000 with Mrs McHale.
It has a comprehensive history and never missed its annual service
despite covering as little as 500 miles between some MOT's.

It was then rescued from becoming a donor engine
for a Mini by fellow club members, Grant and Steve.

Since purchasing the car I have replaced a few bits of trim,
detailed the engine and added Rear Mudflaps

I decided to sell my 2006 Corsa and buy the Metro as my 'everyday' car
although I only use it for a few local trips and shopping etc.
