MG Metro owned by Club Member 111SLi's Dad Gerry.
This 1988 MG Metro belongs to David's [aka 111SLi] Dad
who has owned it for about 9 years now.
The car was bought new from Sargeant & Collins Austin Rover garage
by a gentleman that lives in a private gated estate.
He owned it for about two years then traded it back to the same dealer.

From there the second owner, an elderly lady, purchased the car
and used it as a runabout until we bought the car in 2002.
The car, when we bought it, had done 32k miles and now stands at 41k miles.
The elderly lady had done a great job of keeping the car in good condition,
filling in stone chips and keeping it in a centrally heated garage.

It has never been welded or restored and is as from factory,
with some age marks here and there.
There is very little rust on the car, mainly a couple of bubbles
that have been treated and repaired on the front valance.

The car's spec is completely factory standard
apart from a set of MG Metro Turbo alloy wheels as we struggled to find tyres
for the old metric wheels with original steel wheels with trims.
The car also has original genuine Rover headlight covers.
