The mg tickford turbo ... i came across this car about 5 years ago through the tickford owners club it had been locked away in a leaky garage for 8 years ! :o ... anyway a deal was done and the car i collected (600 mile round journey ) when home the car was striped down and the thing was rotten all down 1 side as the 2 left hand tyers had gone flat and the water always settled there ... spent the next 2 years looking at some very bad shells that were surposet to be good`ens ? ...anyway found the right one for the right price and there it started .... i lost all pics of the start of the re shell as my laptop was stolen and with it went the pics ... the tickford register has some ill see if i can get hold of then ....anyway here is what i have

Wow! I can't believe you need to ask if they'll look ok. I think they'll look spot on being a green car too.

Saw those on eBay looked a nice job but I couldn't think what 'tro they'd suit - looking at yours I think they were made for it :D

Btw what did you do with the MK2 centre console to get that MK1 gaiter to sit nicely in it, that black metal jobbie in the middle? Askin as I've got that console in my R100 with an uber-rare MG (?) leather gaiter that screws into the R100 mounting points but would be cool to have it sit like yours does 8-)

Only thing I don't like about the MK2 Tickfords is the cross-spoke alloys, methinks they deserve something a bit more special than the standard fit MG ones

I also saw those green leather seats on Ebay and thought how nice they would look in a BRG car 8-) The red piping is very MG too. Good combo.

On the subject of Tickfords, does anyone remember the mint silver one that was for sale on Ebay a couple of years ago? It was part of the Patrick collection in Bham. It went for quite a lot of money and I always wondered what became of it.
