Heres my Metro Turbo convertible believed to be the sole survivor of 12 originally made. I've owned it for two years now and have resprayed it and fitted new decals and alloys.

It looks great Mandy .. Have you had any joy finding out any more of the cars history ? How easy will it be to get a new roof sorted for it ? I look forward to seeing it this year at the shows .. I never got to any last year :(

Thanks for comments, guys :) I've had a quote on a replacement hood for about £400, so not too bad. All I know about the car from previous owner (MG Chairman) was that it was one of 12 made to distribute around the main Rover dealers in Britain. This was to see what interest would be had to make it as a production model.
I thought "Rapport" of Abingdon did the conversion as I have a brochure of one which looks virtually the same conversion. Then someone emailed me and said it wasn't. Apparantly they had replaced the front wings on it, and had worked for Rapport in the 1980's.
I've also had a previous owner contact me through YouTube. They gave me a little history but nothing about its origins. They sold it because they were moving to Canada and asked if they could buy it back. I said no, because I intend to keep it forever at any cost. Possibly being the only one in the whole world I feel a great responsibility to preserve it.

Thanks for posting pix :) As you can see all of them have variations in the hood conversions. I thought mine was same as in pic of lady in red shirt but my rear window is a little bigger. Wish I could find out its true history though.
