| Back To Homepage Back to Car of the Month. CAR OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY 2008 This is an 'MG'ed' 1985 Austin Metro 'L' owned by Russell Cosham aka TurboRuss. He bought this amazing car for the bargain price of £300 with only 25,000 miles. It was owned by an old man who seemed to have it serviced nearly every week! (According to the pages of service history that came with it.) It also came with a book and in it were all the times the metro was filled up with petrol, how much was put in it, how much it cost and what mileage it had done between each fill-up since 1985! He wrote down all the day/month/years it was serviced and what was done. He wrote done every time he pumped the tyres up, changed the oil and how much oil he put in it! The service history that this metro has really is unbelievable. Since owning the metro, Russ has fitted a MG metro rear spoiler, Pepper-pot alloy wheels, a MG metro grille and a full MG metro interior. This metro really is a fine example of a true 80's classic.
