-Two days spent waxoyling everywhere, including the driveway (sorry dad, I'll clean it up I promise!). The only areas of concern really are the bottom of the two wings, pic of near side below, and some spots of rust on the bottom of the front valence and wheel arches, jobs for another day i think. I'm yet to reveal the off-side rust, but the tell-tale crack in the black stuff and crunching noise gives it away!
-New Oil, filters and plugs and replaced the coolant. Checked the thermostat worked by doing the boil in a pan test. And it must be the original one as it was made in West Germany..

Work still to do includes freeing up the front brakes as they're binding, do a bit of fiddling with the carb as the old plugs showed it had been running too rich, or atleast I hope that's all it was
